GrandeLIPS Liquid Lipstick

If you tuned in last week, I reviewed Revlon Plumping Lip Creme after an accidental purchase. Long story short, I loved the creamy formula and the plumping effect that it had on my pout. The added bonus of promising to plump lips with continuous use made me believe in a non-surgical alternative to get the Kylie mouth.

Imagine my excitement, and subsequent disappointment, with trying the GrandeLIPS Plumping Liquid Lipstick. Don’t get me wrong, the product is beautiful and the payoff is legit. Mixed messages, I know, but read on to get my take on whether this product is worth the $25 it costs.

What’s to love

The colors: the shade range is limited with mostly nudes, a red, and a purple. The payoff of product is beautiful, though. One swipe and the semi-matte formula coats the lips in gorgeous pigment. The pointed applicator makes it easy to get an even layer or color and definition around the edges of the mouth.

The formulation: similar to the Revlon product, this lipstick contains hylauronic acid for hydration and Volulip™, which is synthesized from plants to hydrate the lips in real time and help regenerate your lips plumpness over time. The difference is in the fact that Revlon Lip Creme is refreshing and cooling. GrandLIPS burns AF. I used the product for the first time while shooting a tutorial and had to take it off almost immediately. If you have a high pain threshold or like a deep tingle then this is your product. I’ll be sticking to my Revlon.

The price: you can find these lipsticks for $25 a tube on their website or Sephora.
