Graphic Liner | Glossy Lids

If you subscribe to my YouTube channel, you may have seen my most recent tutorial on a fun graphic eyeliner with a glossy lid. If you haven't, check it out below (and subscribe)!

It was important for me to take a such a 1960s staple and bring it into 2018. Here are the best products to recreate the look for yourself.

The Liner

Highliner in Blacquer, Marc Jacobs Beauty - $25

There's a reason why the Highliner keeps making its way into these posts: it is an amazing product. This gel liner is in pencil form which means that it will stay until you choose to take it off but it's application can be done by liner virgins. I used this pencil for the look in my tutorial and it was killer.

The only thing I will mention is that gel sets fast so be sure that your pencil doesn't dry out (otherwise, chuck it) and smudge quickly.

Oeil Vinyle Luminous Ink Liner in Khol, Christian Louboutin - $75

If you are into the inkiest, more black liner you have ever seen then this is your go-to. Not only is the packaging luxurious but the applicator brush is easy to use and the formula doesn't get into bleed into you creases like other liquid liners.

You want hardcore glamour? Oeil Vinyle, babe.

The Gloss

Agave Lip Mask in Champagne, Bite Beauty - $26

This was the gloss that I used in the look and it would be flattering on all skin tones. It's a rose gold gloss with yellow gold shimmer. I've used the original Lip Mask ever since it hit the scene and I am obsessed with its nourishing properties. Might as well put it on the rest of my face.

Wait, this would be a killer cheekbone highlighter, too...

Camellia Gold Spun Lip Balm, TATCHA - $30

Go big or go home by putting literal gold on your lids. This balm is super moisturizing and adds a hint of glamour with 24K gold flakes. Camellia is a botanical oil loaded with various vitamins and omega acids that was used by Japanese women in extreme environments like cold saltwater seas. I mean, have you seen their skin? #yesplease

The Mascara

The Expert Mascara in Black, Kevyn Aucoin - $29

This mascara is my everything. Things it contains: peptides. Things it doesn't contain: parabens.

This mascara is easy to use on the longest, thinnest, stumpiest, thickest, or whatever lashes. The peptide complex conditions and plumps lashes for a falsie effect. The wand is beyond magical and nothing else on the market compares. Grab this mascara in Bloodroses for a subtle rock n' roll look.

Volume Effet Faux Cils in High Density Black, Yves Saint Laurent - $32

This is the mascara that you will always come back to. You can try it in different colors, you can try different formulas or brands. The 01 Volume Effet will be your true love forever. If you want to couple your graphic and glossy eye with a thick curtain of lashes then this is the mascara that you need.

Never tried it? What are you waiting for!
